Answers to common questions about using E.D.I.T.H.
I didn't get my sign-in code
Codes are 8 digits and arrive within a minute. Check your spam or promotions folder, make sure the email address is spelled correctly, then tap Resend. Only the newest code works.
How do I create an account?
Tap Sign up on the welcome page, enter your email, confirm the code, then choose a unique @username, add your date of birth and display name. You must be at least 13.
How do I post or upload a Wave?
Use Create (or press Q for Quick Capture). Posts can hold up to 4 photos or videos. Waves are vertical short videos with a cover, caption and optional draft saving.
Who can message or mention me?
Open Settings → Privacy. Choose everyone, followers or no one for messages, comments and mentions. Blocked people can never reach you.
How do group chats work?
In Messages tap New group, name it and add people. Admins can add members; anyone can leave. You can react, reply, forward, pin and send voice messages.
Is my workspace private?
Yes. Projects, tasks, notes and files in your workspace are visible only to you.
How do I get a verified badge?
Verification is granted only by the E.D.I.T.H. team and can't be requested or purchased.
How do I change my appearance?
Settings → Appearance lets you switch between dark and light mode on each device.
