How the assistant fits in
The E.D.I.T.H. assistant runs entirely server-side. Your messages are sent to a protected endpoint, the model provider is called from the server, and the reply is streamed back to you. The provider is behind a small abstraction, so it can be swapped without touching the rest of the app, and no provider key ever reaches the browser.
Conversations and messages are stored in your account and visible only to you.
